We feel we almost know you already!
A vital part of being a PADI Instructor is being mentally and physically able to deal with emergencies, maybe not even dive related.
You may be one of so many people who have witnessed an accident or incident, but been powerless to help. It is a sickening feeling.
The Emergency First Response Instructor (EFR) is an internationally approved and recognised qualification, gained over a 1 day course, consisting of theory and practice on a specially designed Manikin.
The course is essentially two parts – Primary Care (CPR) and Secondary Care (First Aid) and is designed to give you the skills and confidence to provide what could be life-saving treatment in many situations.
The course will consist of:
Other skills include assisting a choking victim and spinal injury care.
Though a fun course, we are reminded of the serious side, particularly when we look at dealing with children in distress.
At the end of the course you will be a valuable member of any sector in society, able to lend assistance should the need arise. You may even safe a life.
From a business perspective, you may use this qualification commercially and organise training sessions for organisations, clubs, workplaces etc and thereby enable others to become potential lifesavers.
Surely, this is one of the most important courses you will ever take in your life.
